The mosque does several charity collections every week. We also do collections for charities both in the UK and abroad. We work with charity companies like Muslim Aid & Islamic relief. Giving charity is important and there
are many verses in the Qur'an which outline the importance of giving charity.
A verse from the Qur'an Says,
"Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers
and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (2:277).
During Friday Jumm'ah prayers, we raise money for the mosque. You will see buckets going around which
is raised for the mosque's finances. During these prayers, you may hear announcements from the Imam that other donations are occurring outside the mosque. Please make it an intention to donate towards these charities.
We
also raise money for other events such as during Ramadan and Eid. If we plan on making a special charity collection, we will make an effort to let you know on the website so if you wish to donate.
